What is the advantage of hiring a professional cleaning service instead of an individual?
Professional cleaning services are licensed, bonded and fully insured including worker's compensation. You are not held responsible if an accident occurs at your home during a professional house cleaning. We also know tricks of the trade and tools to clean better than the average person.
What Services Do You Offer?
Recurring Maintenance Cleaning commonly occurs on a weekly, every other week, or every four week schedule. It is a thorough cleaning of your entire home including the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, and the other rooms of your home. We dust, vacuum, mop, disinfect, and straighten the appearance in all rooms.
More Detailed Cleaning is a deep cleaning of your home. It is often scheduled as your first cleaning and includes all of the items cleaned in General Cleaning plus the items listed in the More Detailed portion of the checklist. More Detailed Cleaning can be scheduled at any time, as a one time cleaning or a move-in/move-out cleaning.
Custom House Cleaning is cleaning to meet your very specific needs or desires. Each and every cleaning is customized to meet your needs so we can make adjustments such as: Clean only the Kitchen, Bathrooms, and High Traffic areas. Just let us know what you would like us to do.
Who provides the cleaning supplies/equipment?
We provide all equipment and cleaning supplies necessary including our own recyled rags to expertly clean your home or office. If you would prefer for us to use your equipment or special cleaning supplies, please let us know, and we will be happy to use your products/equipment.
How do I Prepare for you to clean my home?
When you schedule your appointment, please communicate any specific wishes to the office. Please make sure that we know how we are going to get into your home if you are away: Key Location, Entry Code, Alarm Code (if necessary), your priorities, and possible areas that you may have concerns about.
Please download/ print our Cleaning Checklist, complete and sign it, then leave it on the kitchen counter. If you don't have a printer, we can fax you a copy or mail it to you. Additionally, our maid (s) will have a copy, if you are going to be home during the cleaning. If your needs change from one appointment to the next, please bring that to the attention of the maid (s).
When we are in your home, we want to maximize the time we can spend cleaning your home. You can help get the best value for that time by picking up as much clutter (i.e., children's toys on the floor) as you possibly can. Anything that we need to pick up takes time away from the actual cleaning and that is most often your primary goal in having us clean your home.
Knick-knacks also add to our cleaning time. Please understand that we will hand clean every figurine and framed photo, if that is where you want us to spend time. Please let us know when you schedule your appointment, so that we can schedule the appropriate amount of time to make sure that you are ecstatic with our cleaning.
The bottom line is that we want you to get the best value for your money. Please help us by clearly letting us know where your priorities are.
Will regular cleaning help reduce my allergies symptoms?
Yes! Animal dander and dust are primary causes of indoor allergies and asthmatic reactions. Deep cleaning and regular upkeep is essential to effectively removing these allergens from you home. We thoroughly dust with micro fibre cleaning cloths that ?collect? dust, instead of just pushing it around. We also use hepa filter vacuums that filter 99% of the dust, pollen, allergens, and moulds that we vacuum. Once it is in our vacuum, it stays there and is not redistributed about your house.
Does it matter whether I'm home or away when you clean?
It doesn't matter one way or the other. We clean many homes when the family is away so that when they return the house is sparkling clean and fresh. In those instances, we often have a key to the home or have access through a code entry pad for the garage door. If you wish to hide a key, please let the office know and we can either put it back in it's hiding place or leave it in the home when we leave.
What Days do you Work?
We are available to clean your home Monday through Friday. Weekends are available, though our rates are a bit higher for this service.
Openings are available for one time, weekly, every other week, or every four week cleaning services.
When and How do I make payment?
Payment is due after we clean. We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover Card, Cash, or Checks. Returned checks are charged a $40 processing fee. If you are going to be away from your home when we clean it is often convenient to provide a credit or debit card when you schedule the cleaning appointment. Your card will be charged at the end of the day after your home has been cleaned.
Can I trust your maid (s)?
You can trust Eco Save Maids. We choose only the very best candidates that apply to work for our company. Before even being considered, each candidate must undergo a thorough criminal background check. Eco Save Maids sends screened, trusted, and dependable cleaners to your door. If we would not trust someone to clean our own home, we would not send him or her to clean yours.
What if Something Valuable is Broken when the Maid (s) Cleaned my Home?
We are as careful in your home as if we were in ours. We carry Insurance if there is something that is accidentally broken. If you have irreplaceable/very high value items in your home, please bring it to our attention when you make the appointment and also to the attention of the maid (s) if you are home during your cleaning appointment.
Is a cleaning contract required?
Absolutely not! We earn your repeat business through thorough and conscientious cleaning each and every time we clean your home.
What if I forgot the cleaning appointment and have not provided entry to the home?
We call each of our clients the day before a scheduled cleaning. If our maid arrives at your home, and can't get in to clean, a $40 trip fee /cancellation fee will be assessed.
If you need to cancel an appointment, please call us 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment day to avoid this charge. Thank You!
What if something was missed or not cleaned during your cleaning?
Please call us within 48 hours if something was missed. We guarantee our service and will return to correct the mistake at no additional charge. We take pride in our work and if we miss something, please let us know so that we can correct that oversight as quickly as possible. We very much appreciate your feedback and value your patronage.
Why Does a First Time or One Time Cleaning take Longer than Recurring Cleaning?
House cleaning involves a lot of intensive scrubbing to get your home sparkling clean. It is very hard work and depending on the amount of initial dirt and clutter, it may take more than two times longer to clean your home than a recurring cleaning. We do not charge a higher rate for this first time/one time cleaning (as some companies do), but it does take longer to clean a home that has not already been thoroughly cleaned. We clean to whatever level you desire, but are normally prone to clean until your home shines.
This is my first Maid Service Cleaning, How do I Get Started?
Your first step is to either submit a Quote Request or give us a Call so that you have an idea of the estimated cleaning time for your home.
If this is your first cleaning, it is often preferred to start with a deep cleaning and then switch to a recurring cleaning schedule at the frequency that best fits your needs. A good rule of thumb is that a deep cleaning will normally take about two times longer than a recurring cleaning.
In some cases, clients may prefer to not to do a deep cleaning initially. If that is the case, we can clean on a recurring (General Cleaning) schedule, hitting your priorities first, while gradually catching the areas that are part of a deep cleaning. This may take several visits to reach that level where "everything" is sparkling clean.
Please note: If we are trying to gradually bring the house up to a deep level clean, it may not be possible to complete all of your priority items. Because of this, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to cover all areas of your home while we are catching the "extra" items.
